Penitents of Love (POL) as stated, is a group of post abortive parents who pray together to make reparation for their sin of abortion out of gratitude to God for His mercy and to bring others to the heart of Christ.

We will be doing different post on each of our five intentions, the first being “in reparation for our own sin of abortion“.

Having received the sacrament of reconciliation, we know our sin has been forgiven through the mercy of God. However, there will likely be consequences from the sin that we have to work through. Dynamics and tools which we learn through the ministry to help us understand and learn on an emotional, spiritual and psychological level. We all have woundedness from the trauma of abortion.

As we move deeper into our woundedness and healing, meeting Christ in its depths,there is gratitude, but also a knowledge that there is a great need for penance for this grievous sin, not out of fear of God but out of gratitude for the mercy we have been shown.

Reparation: Making amends for a wrong one has done…repairing

Being such, our first intention in prayer is offered in reparation for our own personal sin of abortion.
